Your club. Your mates. Your prediction league. A football prediction league for a group of friends who follow the same club: predict the score and the scorers for every match, play your Joker on the one you are sure about, and climb the table. Terrace Tally runs it on everyone’s phone, from the deadlines to the points, so nobody has to keep the spreadsheet.

Predict your club’s scorers, not just the score
Most prediction apps stop at the score. A Terrace Tally Predictions League also asks who scores, which is where people who follow one club every week know more than anyone.
- Pick from your club’s real squad. For each goal you predict your club to score, choose the player, or an own goal. Squads come from our football data feed, so new signings are there without anyone typing them in.
- Points for every goal they score. A scorer you named earns points for each goal they get, and the Joker doubles the lot.
- The feed settles it. Goalscorers arrive from the feed after the final whistle, and everyone is scored against the same record, so there is no arguing over who got the last touch.
- Every club in the top four divisions. Scorer data covers every club from the Premier League to League Two, in the league and in the cups, not just the clubs on television.
Why run your prediction league on Terrace Tally
- Any club in the top four divisions. Follow a club in the Premier League, the Championship, League One or League Two, with its FA Cup, League Cup and EFL Trophy ties added as they are drawn. More leagues are on the way; tell us on the waiting list if your club is not covered yet.
- Nobody enters a result. Scores and scorers come from our football data feed, and points are worked out straight after the final whistle.
- Scoring you can check. Every point is explained, match by match, so nobody has to take the person running it at their word.
- Built for the person running it. A live count of who has predicted, reminders sent for you, predictions entered for anyone who asks, and imports for a league already under way.
- Nothing to do with betting. No odds, no bets, no prize money through the app.
- On every phone. It runs in the phone’s browser and adds to the home screen like an app, with notifications. Nothing to download from an app store.
- Two games, one app. Run Last Man Standing in the same friends group, with the same sign-in.
How a football prediction league works
- Predict before the deadline. The full-time score and which of your club’s players score. Change it as often as you like until predictions close.
- Play your Joker. It doubles your points for one match. Save it for the one you are sure about.
- See what everyone went for. At the deadline everyone’s predictions are shown, and you can share them to the group chat in one tap.
- Points, straight after the final whistle. The result and scorers arrive from our football data feed and every point is worked out and explained.
- Climb the table. The season table and Manager of the Month update after every match.
Scoring you can check
Points come from the result, the exact score and each scorer you get right, doubled by the Joker. The person running your game sets how many points each is worth, and every member can see exactly how each point was earned, match by match.
| You get right | What it means |
|---|---|
| The result | Win, draw or defeat for your club |
| The exact score | Both numbers |
| A scorer | Each of your club’s scorers you named, for each goal they scored |
| The Joker | Doubles your total for that match |
Season picks add a longer game: where your club will be at a checkpoint during the season, where it finishes, and its top scorer.
Glory at the top. A forfeit at the bottom.
The winner gets a season as the hero of the group, and Manager of the Month gives everyone something to win along the way. At the other end, the person running your league can name the bottom place whatever your group likes, a “wooden spoon” for example. The name sits on the table all season and on every table you share to the group chat, so nobody forgets who is down there. Most groups agree a forfeit before the first match: see our forfeit ideas.
Run a prediction league without the spreadsheet
A prediction league run on WhatsApp and a spreadsheet means chasing predictions, checking scorers and adding up points every week. Terrace Tally does that for you.
- Fixtures arrive on their own, cup ties included once the draw is made, and deadlines move when a kick-off moves.
- Results you never enter. Scores and scorers come from our football data feed.
- See who is in. A live count of who has predicted, reminders sent for you, and the option to enter a prediction for someone who asks.
- Close early. If everyone is in before the deadline, show everyone’s predictions straight away.
- Invite with a link. Share it on WhatsApp, and approve each person who asks to join or let them straight in.
Everyone in the loop
If they want them, members get a reminder before predictions close if they have not predicted, their points and place after each match, and a message if a kick-off moves. Everyone chooses what they get.

- League One prediction league: 46 league matches, plus the FA Cup, the League Cup and the EFL Trophy. Our pilot group plays here.

Questions
Do I predict every match in the league?
No. You follow one club and predict that club’s matches, not every match in the competition.
Which clubs can we follow?
Any club in the top four divisions of English football: the Premier League, the Championship, League One and League Two, with its cup ties included. More leagues are on the way, and we prioritise the ones groups ask for on the waiting list. The pilot group follows Sheffield Wednesday.
Can we bring our existing league?
Yes. The person running it can enter or import predictions for a fixture, so a league already running on a spreadsheet can carry on part way through a season.
Is this betting?
No. Terrace Tally does not take bets, collect entry fees or hold prize money.
What does it cost?
The pilot is free. We are looking at a free version for standard play and optional paid extras for groups that want more. Nothing is decided.
