A League One season, match by match

League One clubs play more competitions than most: the league, two domestic cups and the EFL Trophy. Every one of your club’s matches is in your prediction league, with its own deadline.

CompetitionWhat is included
League OneAll 46 of your club’s league matches, added at the start of the season
FA CupYour club’s ties from the first round in November, added as they are drawn
League CupYour club’s ties from its first match in August, added as they are drawn
EFL TrophyYour club’s group matches and any knockout ties, added as they are arranged

When a kick-off moves, the deadline moves with it, and members who want them get a message.

Scorers for every League One club

Squads and goalscorers come from our football data feed for all 24 League One clubs. Many score predictors only really cover the Premier League; here a League One club works exactly as a Premier League club does.

  • Pick from your club’s squad, kept up to date from the feed, including loan signings.
  • Name a scorer for each goal you predict your club to score, or an own goal.
  • Points for each goal they score, worked out straight after the match and explained line by line.

Our pilot group plays in League One

Terrace Tally started as a Sheffield Wednesday prediction league run on WhatsApp and a spreadsheet. That group is playing the 2026/27 season on the app now: League One, the FA Cup, the League Cup and the EFL Trophy group matches, with scorers picked from the Wednesday squad. What we learn from them shapes what comes next.

How a group following one club plays

Everyone in the group follows the same club and predicts the same matches.

  1. Before each deadline, predict the full-time score and your club’s scorers. Change it as often as you like until predictions close.
  2. Play your Joker on the match you are surest about, to double your points.
  3. At the deadline, everyone’s predictions are shown, and you can share them to the group chat in one tap.
  4. After the final whistle, points arrive and the season table and Manager of the Month update.

Season picks run alongside: where your club will be at a checkpoint, where it finishes, and its top scorer.
