Run the office Last Man Standing without the spreadsheet. Everyone picks on their own phone, results come in by themselves, and the person who usually runs it gets their Monday mornings back.

Why it suits a workplace
- Nothing to install. It runs in the phone’s browser and adds to the home screen like an app. Nothing goes through a company app store, and nobody needs a password: they sign in with a code sent to their email.
- Everyone supports someone different. Last Man Standing is not tied to a club, so the Arsenal fan and the Stockport fan play the same game on equal terms.
- Picks stay private until the deadline. Nobody can copy anyone else’s pick, and at the deadline everyone’s picks are shown together.
- A reminder before picks close. People who have not picked get a reminder, if they want one, so the organiser is not chasing the whole floor on a Friday.
Less work for the person running it
- Rounds run themselves. Once the game starts, rounds open, lock and settle each week.
- Results you never enter. Fixtures and results come from our football data feed, postponements included.
- Picks by email or in person still count. Enter a pick for someone who gives it to you, before the deadline or late; it is labelled, so everyone can see.
- Bring this year’s game over. Already running one on a spreadsheet? Import the current round and carry on in the app.
- Your rules. Draws, lives, missed picks, postponements and how many entries each person can have are all settings. See the Last Man Standing rules.
Entry fees
Plenty of workplace games are played for bragging rights alone, and that works just as well. If yours has an entry fee, it is collected by the person running the game, as it is now. Terrace Tally does not take entry fees, hold money or pay out prizes; the app only keeps a list of who has paid. If your workplace has rules about games with an entry fee, those still apply.
Nothing to do with betting: no odds, no bets and no money through the app.
Questions
How many people can play?
As many as you have: a team, a floor or the whole building. People join with a link you share, and you can approve each one or let them straight in.
Can people have more than one entry?
If you allow it. Entries per person is one of the rules, up to five.
Does it work on a work phone?
Yes. It is a website that adds to the home screen, so it works on any phone with a browser, work or personal.
