Terrace Tally is operated by Maven Technology Services Ltd, trading as Mavents, registered in England and Wales (company number 09694415), 32 Eyre Street, Sheffield, S1 4QZ. Contact: hello@terracetally.com. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
Part 1: this website
Terrace Tally is in a private pilot. This website describes the service and shows screens from the pilot app; details may change. Joining the waiting list does not create an account, guarantee a place in the pilot or commit you to anything. We take no payments or bets through this site.
You may read and link to our public pages. Our text, branding and images belong to us or our licensors; ask before reproducing substantial material or using the brand commercially. Club names and crests belong to their owners, and mentioning a club does not imply its endorsement.
Do not try to gain unauthorised access, disrupt the site, submit malicious material or sign up someone else without their permission. We may block abusive activity.
We aim to keep the site accurate but do not promise uninterrupted access. Nothing here limits liability where the law does not allow it, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and nothing removes your statutory consumer rights.
Part 2: the app
Your account. You need an invitation from someone running a friends group. You sign in with your email address and a code; keep your email account secure and do not share codes. You are responsible for what is done under your account. One account per person.
Your name. Choose a name your friends will recognise and that is not offensive or misleading. Admins may ask you to change it.
The game. Each game has its own rules page (scoring, Jokers, deadlines, season picks). Predictions close at the deadline shown; late predictions are not accepted. Admins may enter a prediction on your behalf only before the deadline and only if you have not saved one, and that is recorded. Results are entered by admins and may occasionally be corrected, in which case points are recalculated.
Privacy inside a group. The other members of your game can see your alias, your predictions after the deadline, and your points. Do not share other members’ details outside the group.
No betting. Terrace Tally takes no bets, entry fees or prize money. Anything a group arranges among themselves is outside the service and their own responsibility. Terrace Tally is not a gambling service.
Behaviour. Do not abuse other members, cheat (for example by using more than one account), attempt to interfere with the service or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or remove an account that does.
Admins. People who run a friends group can invite and approve members, enter predictions as above, postpone or void fixtures and enter results, and can see members’ email addresses and full names for that purpose only.
Availability and changes. This is a pilot. The service may be unavailable at times, and we may change or withdraw features, or end the pilot, giving notice where we can. We keep backups but do not guarantee against loss of data.
Ending. You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We can end your access if you break these terms.
Liability. The service is free during the pilot and provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of the service, and in any event our liability is limited to £100. Nothing limits liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or removes your statutory rights.
Changes to these terms. We will show the date at the top and flag material changes in the app.
